Philosophy of Ministry
Relational

Relational Ministry is founded on our relationships, not programs. Our primary relationship is to God through His Son our Savior Jesus. He loved us first and gives us love to love others. We are connected to others who believe in Christ through His Holy Spirit, making us the Church [Mark 3:31-35]. We are connected to our community through relationships we intentionally develop. We deliver the message of salvation in natural relationships as opposed to an emphasis on events.

Intentional

Intentional Ministry The very core of our philosophy is intentionality. Everything we do, we need to do on purpose. Ministry never happens by accident. If we are going to do ministry within our church and within our community, we are going to plan it, pray it and deliver it consistently with quality. If Christ is the center of our lives and His message of salvation is the center of our misssion, we will intentionally seek His will in defining the ministry He is calling us to do.

Sacrificial

Sacrificial Ministry We are committed to giving ourselves away to the glory of God. We will give ourselves away at our own expense. We give ourselves to God and each other according to the gifts that God has given us. We serve God and each other with all our resources of self: spiritual gifts, natural abilities, passions, finances, time and energy.

Missional

Missional Ministry We are earnestly active in seeking the Kingdom of God by following His living principles in an intimate relationship with Him. We will not concern ourselves with “church growth” unless we are talking about people increasingly entering and growing in a relationship with Almighty God through His Son Jesus Christ. (Mat. 28:18-20) We “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness,” and trust that God will “supply all [four] needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Mat. 6:33; Phil. 4:19) The size of our gathering is inconsequential, but developing the Church of Jesus Christ that is His body is of primary importance.

Law and Gospel

Law and Gospel Ministry God has revealed Himself through His Word. Some of His words are law, words that convict us of sin, condemn sin and curb our sinful tendencies. God’s law reveals our brokenness and our need for help. But God did not leave us in despair; He has also spoken to us in the life giving words of the Gospel, which is the good news of what God has done for us. The Gospel is the message of faith in His Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross taking our sin and death upon Himself that we might be given forgiveness, righteousness and a restored relationship with God unto eternity. Salvation is given to us by grace alone through faith alone, not by works. (Eph. 2:8)

(Matthew 28:18-20) "And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
