Conversations About Our Faith

When it comes to understanding the daily events of our lives we can find direction by having conversations with others. This section of our site is dedicated to having conversations about various topics that come up as we seek out, learn about, question, and explore our place in this world and how it relates to the God of the universe.

Maybe you have some questions too. If you do and would like to learn more, please contact us and let us know how we can serve you.

Discover God!

cross-at-sunsetHow do we discover someone who has always been in existence. God is, He always has been and He always will be. God describes Himself in His Word, the Bible, this way at times; ““I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8)

So discovering God is like discovering dust or the sun, you probably won’t receive a Nobel Prize. Or maybe it’s like a blind person discovering the Sun, they cannot see the Sun but they experience the Sun’s impact on them.

Discovering God is a journey of recognizing the God who was and is and always will be. It is a process of receiving His work in our lives and ceasing our rejection of Him and His Word. It is a hard journey because we get in our own way and get lost on tangents and rabbit trails. God has revealed Himself in His Word and in His Son, Jesus Christ. We encounter Jesus as He showed Himself to be both the Son of Man and the Son of God. Jesus is God with skin on, and that’s a whole new experience for most of us.

Join us as we discover God more and more as we seek Him where He can be found, worshiping Him in Spirit and truth, indwelling the Scriptures and receiving His grace in the Word and the Sacraments.

(Matthew 28:18-20) "And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
